During your path towards fulfillment you also feel so fed up with not getting what you want that you start to make concessions and accepting things that you know are beneath your level of skill or that you know does not align with your goals or your vision. If this is you then you are in fact settling. You know that you deserve better and the only way you will be able to reach the next level is if you get rid of the fear and accept your place at the top. You are capable, you are hardworking and you deserve everything that you have been working hard to achieve. I think that sometimes people hinder their success because they don’t feel like they deserve the next level and then they begin to ask for things that do not align and then the end result is misalignment. Consistency in this journey towards alignment is essential! Continually work and place yourself towards the vision that you envision for your life, stay faithful, and eventually you will experience a positive result!

Matte Brand
Briana Wilson, who is the mastermind behind Matte Brande, left Texas for New York in 2014 with the ambitions of becoming a model. Upon her stay, she witnessed the grit and passion that young entrepreneurs had around her to create and she was soon inspired to create something of her own. Matte Brande was officially launched only 8 months after her big move. Matte Brande was created to embrace the minimalistic, feminine and comfortable aesthetic of clothing. Signature pieces from Matte Brande include snug bodysuits, patent leather sets, cropped short sets, and jumpsuits that have already been seen on the likes of celebrities such as Teyana Taylor at Coachella, Kim Kardashian, Karreuche, and Draya.
Omondi
Recho Omondi launched her ready-to-wear brand in 2013 with the intention of embracing brown and the different shades of brown. She has always liked the color brown and has since the beginning embraced the color to establish and express the beauty of the color. In an interview for Vogue she boldly stated “I didn’t pick colors to try to say something. I just felt that brown is beautiful. Brown skin is beautiful” Rachel has always been about perspective in her designs and her designs have an autobiographically feel. Her 003 collection illustrates this fact as she has recently went through a breakup that inspired the entire collection. Her strength as a designer is her ability to channel her pain and create wearable art. Omondi also primarily casts women of color and embraces a brown palette because she is creating from her vision and perspective of life as a woman of color. Omondi’s pieces can be seen on the likes of Issa Rae in Insecure as she donned the infamous red “Niggas” sweatshirt.
Sami Miro Vintage
Sam Miro is living proof that intellect, passion, and creativity is all you need to get the results you desire in your life. She was able to launch her line in just 10 days, which is largely due to her hustler mentality and her experience working full time in fashion as well as her master’s degree in global entrepreneurship that allowed her to travel the world working at a startup soon after graduation. Sam Miro Vintage came together as a happy medium of her degree and her creativity. From a young age, Miro has always gravitated towards vintage and loved the challenge of finding great and unique pieces. Looking for vintage is a great skill that Miro has been able to hone since she was 14. After years of collecting vintage and working as a stylist, she launched her vintage line Sam Miro Vintage which featured unique staple pieces such as bomber jackets, body suits and custom pieces that she has made for celebrities which include Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Selena Gomez and even Blue Ivy Carter.

About me
Hello, My Name is Comfort and I am a blogger living in NJ.
This is a hub where fashion, motivation, and women of color can meet to inspire, support and motivate each other towards success.
I will post weekly look books, highlight businesses owned by women of color and offer any lessons and motivation I have learned along the way.
I am not an expert but I think there is beauty in the process and I feel like more people should hear about the journey.
